On Unity Day, our No Place for Hate committee members visited each classroom to present the No Place for Hate pledge and share what each part of the pledge means to them. Afterward, students and staff were invited to visit our Pledge Wall to sign their names and show their commitment to kindness, inclusion, and respect. We had a fantastic turnout—our Pledge Wall is now completely full!
On February 6th, at the conclusion of Compassion Day, 4th and 5th grade No Place for Hate committee members visited each classroom to lead a reflective conversation. Committee members asked students questions about the rotations they participated in throughout the day and guided discussions focused on reflection, empathy, and ways students can show greater compassion on campus.
NP4H created Bullying report boxes to provide a place for students to report bullying. There are three boxes places around campus for students to report what they have experienced or seen on campus. After they report, the counselor and administration team work together for next steps.
NP4H students created individual "Be an Upstander" cards. On each card, the NP4H students wrote encouraging messages on one side, and glued information on how to be an upstander on the other. This information includes the definition of an upstander, how to stand up against bullying, and when to use it.
