Hope Elementary used individual hands to creatively pledge to treat others with kindness and speak up against bullying.
Hope students engaged in a lesson on empathy for their first NPFH Activity throughout the month of December.
For their 2nd activity, Hope Elementary focused on the building blocks of friendship. Kindergarten students read The Little Book of Friendship and discussed how to make a friend, be inclusive, and show kindness to others. First, through 5th grade students brainstormed ways they have grown friendships and shown empathy to those in need.
For their 3rd activity, Hope hosted Compassion Day. The day was focused on supporting compassion for those with disabilities or challenges in the areas of speech, reading, fine motor challenges, and sensory processing differences.
