Our 4th and 5th grade NP4H student leaders created presentations to present to classrooms. They worked collaboratively with a small team to teach the pledge to every TK-5th grade classroom. All students pledged to make Jefferson No Place for Hate by putting their thumbprint on a Jaguar Paw that will printed on a banner to hang at school.
Students participated in a Compassion Day activity focused on spreading kindness across campus by creating encouraging signs with positive and affirming messages which were displayed throughout the school as visible reminders to show compassion to others—and to ourselves. These messages helped promote a welcoming, inclusive environment and encouraged our school community to practice empathy, kindness, and respect in everyday interactions.
We facilitated a student-led activity focused on conflict resolution and building a safe, inclusive community. Eight students volunteered to participate in a panel-style discussion where they responded to questions submitted by their fellow NP4H peers. The questions centered around real-life scenarios involving peer conflict, misunderstandings, inclusion, and how to handle challenging social situations in healthy ways. Panelists shared thoughtful responses, personal insights, and strategies for navigating disagreements respectfully and responsibly.
