On 11/27/23, CHS organized the signing of the No Place for Hate Pledge through advisory using this activity.
For their 2nd activity, the No Place for Hate team at CHS focused on helping students and staff understand and empathize with others who are neurodivergent and/or disabled. The activity was completed in three parts. First, a classroom activity, then an inclusivity assembly, and finally students will share stories/experiences with ableism, or harassment due to their disability or for being neurodivergent. These stories will then be shared on CHSTV.
The CHS No Place for Hate Committee used their final activity for a timely response to a false report of violence which caused fear and anxiety for students, staff, and families in the CHS community. CHS engaged in reflection about the incident, safety, and mental health. The opportunity was designed for CHS to revisit the commitment to prioritize safety and well-being for everyone in our community.
