Students on the CHM No Place for Hate Committee organized a No Place for Hate pledge signing and created a video documenting the event.
During advisory, students on the NPFH Committee led their peers through an activity promoting kindness at CHM: "Words are Powerful... Choose Them Carefully"
Calavera Hills Middle kicked off Kindness Week with a rally featuring student-led activities from CHM groups and organizations such as the Black Student Union, Where Everybody Belongs, and the No Place for Hate Committee.
Tolerance, Acceptance, and Empathy Socratic Seminars
Each grade read a novel related to tolerance, acceptance, and empathy. Student-led Socratic Seminars focused on understanding empathy, perspective, tolerance, and acceptance in English classes using the themes from the books:
6th Grade – Look Both Ways
7th Grade – Refugee
8th Grade – The Diary of Anne Frank
