Our NPFH committee created a slideshow of what NPFH is and what they are planning on helping with around the school. They had a theme, Kindness Blooms: Bee Kind and created a poster of a garden where each class was represented with a flower.
Ability Awareness Day: Ability Awareness Day is a day for each student to experience what it is like to have a disability. The main idea of this day is not to pity peers with disabilities, but to respect them and understand how they make various accommodations in their life to learn differently. Whether it be a physical, intellectual, learning, or social disability, we can be aware! Our NPFH committee were helpers to our station leaders and were a part of educating the school on the types of abilities people have!
Our NPFH committee was a part of our Great Kindness Challenge in helping our students reflect on ways that students were kind throughout the week. They filled out orange strips of papers and then created a kindness chain!
Sportsmanship Assemblies: Our NPFH Committee decided that they wanted to present on sportsmanship to all of our grade levels. They came up with slideshows on what sportsmanship was and ways that we can be more friendly and positive on the playground and around Hope. They included age appropriate videos and role playing to show some examples of ways to be kind and be a good sport!
