Special Projects is a part of DPW and builds things for every department at Burning Man. They work throughout the Playa taking care of many special carpentry needs. This crew oversees the installation of vertical shade panels, information kiosks, bike racks, stairs, and solar lights throughout the city as well as many other things including the event sign at gate. If you need help with the construction of something to support your departmental needs while on playa, please start the conversation by filling out our work order form.
Special Projects are those smaller construction projects/repairs that departments may be unable to accomplish on their own. These include but are not limited to: Bike racks, stairs, kiosks, privacy walls, generator baffles, etc.
IMPORTANT: This request serves as a way to START the conversation about your needs.
