IMPORTANT OPERATIONAL CHANGES FOR 2026
Potable Water Delivery / Plumbing System install requests are now centralized in the DPW Utilities Dashboard.
All requestors and budget managers will need to sign up for an account in order to access this system.
Please allow 24 hours on business days for account approval.
If you're planning to work over a weekend request your account ahead of time!
Required Approval: Every request now requires a digital sign-off from your Budget Manager to proceed.
Approvals will be visible in your dashboard.
POTABLE WATER INSTALLATIONS
If you are requesting a potable water installation please know that our infrastructure program has no planned expansion, but we will review new requests. You will need to make sure you request both potable and grey water tanks for your site.
Plumbing/Waterworks is asking how you're using the water to better determine what tanks and fittings will work best for you! You do not need to indicate which tank size you need, we will determine this.
Some pointers when filling out this form:
USAGE:
How will you be using this water? Your answer helps us determine the appropriate system to install. For example: showering, handwashing, filling buckets, ice machine...
HOW MANY, HOW LONG:
How many people will be using this system?
When does the first person from your team arrive on playa - when does the bulk of your user population arrive on playa? What is your drop dead date for install and first water delivery?
When does the last person on your team leave the playa - when do services end?
NOTES:
This is NOT the place to write SAME AS LAST YEAR.
This IS where you can tell us that you plan on hosting the first walk-through aquarium at Burning Man and that you have a fleet of your own pumps that you want to use because you read an article on the internet about performance criteria and plumbing system design. Or just tell us that you love Plumbing/Waterworks.
You should submit a separate request for each installation area.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get my water tanks placed?
Once you're on playa and ready to survey for your water tanks, call out for "Plumbing" on the WATER/SANI radio channel. Your site will be assessed and tanks will be delivered and plumbed as scheduled. If you are not ready on the scheduled date then the team will move on to other installations and you will need to contact the department to reschedule your install.
Can I adjust my service intervals?
Yes. Call for "Waterworks" on the WATER/SANI radio channel if the pre-scheduled frequency of deliveries is not meeting your needs.

We share a radio channel with the Site Services teams including "Sanitation" and "Trailer Servicing" so be clear about which department you are trying to contact.
