REQUESTS DUE BY MAY 1, 2026
CALL OUT ON THE "HEaT Request" CHANNEL TO REQUEST MACHINERY SUPPORT!
EQUIPMENT WILL NOT SHOW UP TO YOUR JOB SITE AUTOMATICALLY BASED ON A REQUEST MADE IN ADVANCE
DPW Heavy Equipment & Transportation (HEaT) provides services on an as needed basis to keep equipment moving and to maximize efficiency of a very costly and important resource, BIG machines. Submitting a request in advance will help our team to be more prepared when the time comes to support you in BRC, but we will NOT send equipment until we hear that your job is ready for us to do our part.
Contact HEaT on the "HEaT Request" radio channel shortly before needing our help.
It's a good practice to reach out the day prior for work that will be more complex or longer in duration. For smaller jobs, a quick call 1 to 2 hours in advance of needing equipment will do.
Submitting a request in advance for the average heavy equipment need is not necessary. HEaT is available to take your call and provide support 7 days per week in BRC. Still, it's helpful to plan ahead for certain types of equipment support. The following are examples of when a request submitted in advance may be helpful.
The job is complex in nature and may require coordination of multiple pieces of equipment, simultaneously or in succession
The duration of work will exceed 2 hours or span multiple days
The work is mission critical and has a tight window for completion
Specialized services are needed (eg. - crane work, rigging, etc.)
You'll just feel better about having communicated the need in advance
Use the form linked through the button below to submit a request for heavy equipment. We will review the request and reach out to you with any questions or concerns. REMEMBER... you will still need to follow up once on playa to confirm scheduling of HEaT support.

FAQ
When does HEaT operate on Playa?
HEaT operates on playa from the start of Shoreline operations in late July through De-Fence following the event.
What hours will HEaT dispatch take my call?
Our dispatchers primarily take requests during daytime hours between 8am and 5pm, but we do maintain a presence on the channel outside of those hours and may be able to help. Just give us a call!
Can HEaT provide service in the evening?
Yes, as long as you arrange for after-hours support by noon the same day. We do try to help whenever last minute needs arise as well, but can't gaurantee that an operator will be available at night. Alternatively, we will try to get to you first thing the next morning.
Do I need to specify the type of machine needed?
No. We'll ask you questions about the job and determine the appropriate equipment to send.
Is consultation available if I don't know how machinery may help on our job?
Yes. Reach out to us and a competent person from our team will take a look at the scenario with you to determine how HEaT may be able to help.
