Winter Sports Trials

Congratulations to the students who were selected for Bathurst Diocesan Teams at the winter trials yesterday. A big thank you to all involved yesterday to give the students the opportunity. The convenors spent a lot of time organising and running the day, THANK YOU! It was a beautiful day much better than last year's pouring rain. This year if anything it was too hot!!

Thank you to Stannies, the Bathurst Council and the Bathurst Football, Hockey and Netball association for their cooperation and help and allowing us to use the fields and courts.

Bathurst Winter Trials - 12th March 2021:

The Bathurst Diocesan Primary Trials were held under extreme whether conditions in Bathurst! The break in the whether expected between 9.00am and 2.00pm didn't eventuate until after the trials were finished and we were driving home. The conditions were extremely difficult and it was hard for the children to shine and display their skills. However all convenors reported that the children didn't complain and just got on with trying to impress the selectors.

Thank you to our convenors: Kate Holden - St Philomena's Bathurst, Martin Felice - James Shehan Orange, Ken MacNamara - St Edwards Canowindra, Grahame Statham - St Raphael's Cowra and Emma Boulton for running the trials under the extreme conditions with professionalism. Thank you also to all the parents who brought the children to the trials and supported them throughout the day.

Thank you to all involved for your cooperation and understanding. Congratulations and good luck to the children who were selected in the Bathurst Diocesan teams. For the children who missed out use your disappointment to drive you harder in your chosen sport(s).

Bathurst Winter Trials - 19th March 2021:

The Bathurst Diocesan Primary Rugby Union and Hockey Trials were held in Bathurst on the 19th March.! The weather was much kinder than a week earlier when the other sports in the winter trials were on.

Thank you to our convenors: Luke O'Reilly - St Raphael's Cowra, Lyndal Marshall & Cassie Toole St Patrick's Lithgow for running the trials which all went smoothly. Thank you also to all the parents who brought the children to the trials and supported them throughout the day.

The sportsmanship and skill displayed on the day were of a high standard. We look forward to these teams representing in the bottle green and white at the Polding trials to be held in Bathurst on the 23rd April.
