Bathurst Diocesan Netball Gala Day - 2025

Date: Friday 25th July 2025
Venue: PCYC – Seymour St. Orange NSW 2800
The carnival is hosted in 2025 by James Sheahan Catholic High School. Convenor: Kylie Jordan
Managers meeting will be held at 8.40am
The first game will commence promptly at 9.00am

Rules of the carnival:

Age divisions are as follows: Junior Year 7 & 8, 2 Pools Gold and Blue

Intermediate Year 9 & 10

Senior Open

Students must be currently enrolled at the school. Once a player has played with a team, they may not play with another team throughout the carnival.
Matches will be conducted as per NSWNA carnival rules.
Matches will be of 18min duration (9min halves, 1min @ half-time) with 1 minute between rounds.
No injury time will be allowed.
No disputes will be entered into.
Umpiring format will be UMPIRE YOUR OWN (this umpire must umpire the whole game).
Matches will commence and finish on the hooter.
Score cards will be left on a clipboard in the centre of the court and the winning team is responsible for bringing the score card to the recording table.
Taping of nails, earrings and bangles is not permitted.
Full canteen facilities will be available throughout the carnival.
ONA will not be responsible for any injury incurred on the day.
There will be a First Aid Officer present on the day
The carnival will commence at 9:00am and presentation will be at 2:50pm. It is expected that all teams be present for this presentation.
As all games are indoor, the carnival will go ahead regardless of the weather
The convenor can make changes to the rules or format of the day at their discretion.

Bathurst Diocesan U15's & Opens Netball Trials - 2025:

Please find the information about the Bathurst Diocesan U15’s & Opens Netball Trials. Schools are to encourage girls who are playing Netball at a high level to register for the trial. This is a REP TRIAL NOT A GALA DAY. Please limit the number of girls you invite to the strong netballers in your school. Consider age as well and only invite and approve young age players if they are outstanding. We need your help to limit the number of girls at the trial to a manageable group. Sports Coordinators must invite and approve each player to ensure all players attending are at a representative standard.

Venue: Dubbo Sports World - 163 Sheraton Rd, Dubbo

Time: 9.30am - 2.30pm (TBA depending on numbers)

Levy: $10 payable on the CSNSW sport website.

Registrations Close: Friday, 20th March 2025

Parent help sheet for registration on CSNSW sport website.

Uniform: School or club netball dress or school sports uniform. Suitable footwear for an inside court. Players are to bring their own strapping, protective gear etc.

NO REPRESENTATIVE GEAR IS TO BE WORN AT THE TRIAL.

Other Information:

- There may be a canteen at this event

- Students are to bring their own food and drinks

- From this trial a Bathurst Diocesan team will be picked to attend the CCC Netball Trials in Penrith - 15’s - Thursday 29th May

- Opens - Friday 30th May

- Please advise parents that any information about the trial will be sent to the email they have linked to their CSNSW sport account. Check Spam because emails are sent as a Bcc group and sometimes find their way to spam.
