Polding Swimming Championship 2021

Congratulations to all our swimmers who represented Bathurst at the Polding Swimming Championships on Tuesday 22nd March at Homebush.

It was a great event and The Bathurst swimmers did very well. From all reports many schools watched the live stream which was great for those unable to attend.

The following students will represent Polding at the PSSA Championships on the 4th & 5th April. Good luck, we are very proud of you.

Congratulations to the 79 primary students who represented the Bathurst Diocese at the Polding Swimming Carnival at Homebush on Monday 22nd March. It was a great day and our diocese performed extremely well. The organisation was outstanding and there was no doubt many of tomorrows swimming stars were on show. Many of our young swimmers experienced the big stage of SOPAC for the first time. The excitement was evident as students entered the enormous pool deck for the first time and saw there names on the big screen. The sportsmanship and respect for team mates was obvious and very much appreciated by the parents and Team Managers.

A huge thank you to Team Managers Carmen Gain, Matthew Hayes and Alison Hannely for looking after our team and ensuring they got to all events. Thank you to the parents who braved the weather and transported the students to and from Homebush under trying conditions. Many of the trips were long!

Please join with me to celebrate the success of the following students from the Bathurst Diocese who will now compete at the PSSA Swimming Carnival Wednesday 31st and Thursday 1st April. It is a fantastic achievement to reach this level. Good luck in Homebush next week.
