Rugby

The Polding Rugby Trials were held in Forbes on Monday 21st June. The teams gathered for training on Sunday the 22nd June which was run  by NSW Rugby Development Officers for all players and followed by a team run.

This is the only Polding Trials where Polding and MacKillop are held at the same venue on the same day. Thank you to Pam Burke Wilcania Forbes Diocesan Sports Rep and her many helpers for providing the boys and their families with  such a great experience and opportunity. Thank you to NSW Rugby Development Officers for running training and refereeing the day.

Our boys played four games, they had a very slow start and we were all a bit disappointed with the first game against Lismore. However in the following three games the boys were brilliant, all putting in a great effort. The Rugby was of a high standard and the skills, tenacity and fight the Bathurst boys displayed was outstanding.

Thank you to Luke O'Reilly (St Raphael's Cowra) for coaching the boys, his efforts were much appreciated.

Seven boys were rewarded with spots in the Possible V Probables game:

Archer Rayner - St Matthew's, Mudgee

Will Jessiman - St Matthew's, Mudgee

Jock Robinson - Holy Family, Kelso 

Archie Aird - St Mary's, Dubbo.

Congratulations to the three boys selected in the Polding team to play at the PSSA Trials in Mudgee on  the 17th - 19th August. We wish you the best of luck:
