Information for Primary Diocesan Athletics Carnival - 2024

The Bathurst Diocesan Athletics Carnival to be held at Barden Park, North Dubbo on Friday, 23rd August 2024

The school selects students to represent at this carnival via school and region athletics carnivals.

Registration: All competitors must register on the CSNSW Sport Website for the event.

Levy: A $10 levy per competitor to cover carnival costs. This is NOT to be collected by the team manager or sent to the school. The levy is to be paid when registering on the CSNSW sport website.

Canteen facilities will be available on the day.

All competitors must bring a hat, plenty of water and sunscreen. All competitors must wear footwear in all competition events. See “Rules Of Competition” for other relevant rules.

In the event of a "wash-out" performances at regional carnivals will be used to determine final selections in the Diocesan team.

The Order Of Events will be a guideline for the day. However if weather conditions impede the running of the carnival, the Order Of Events may need to be adjusted accordingly. Schools and Team Managers will have a copy of the rules prior to the carnival.

Please note the Carnival will start at 9.00am.  All competitors for early events particularly Boys & Girls 800m races must be made aware of this.

Those competitors who finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Final for Track and Field Events and 1st and 2nd place in the Relays will gain selection in the Diocese of Bathurst Athletic Team.
