Polding Summer Sports Trials

            Polding Tennis Trials - 2022

Congratulations to our six students who competed in the Polding Tennis trials for the girls in Tamworth and the boys  Gunnedah on  Friday, 23rd February.  They all played extremely well and were great ambassadors for their school and our Diocese.

Thank you to our Team Manager Adam Foley St John's Primary Dubbo who did a great job looking after our tennis players. 

Congratulations to Addison Sense and Bridie Worth who were selected in the Polding Team to play in the PSSA Tennis Championship in April. We wish you the best of luck girls.


            Polding Touch Trials - 2022:

The Polding Touch Trials were held in Tamworth on Friday 1st April. 

Thank you to our Team Managers Jennene Carpenter (boys) and Jo Clarke (girls). The touch was of a high standard and we were extremely competitive in both boys and girls.

Congratulations to the following players who made the Polding Team. We wish them the best of luck at the PSSA Championships in May.

                          Polding Basketball Trials - 2022:

The Bathurst Diocesan Basketball teams travelled to Tamworth for the Polding Trials on Friday, 1st April. We lost several of our players due to COVID guidelines close to the trials. Our girls team only had 4 players on the day! A big thank you to our team Managers Melinda Morris (St Joseph's, Gilgandra) and Monique Donoghue (St Laurence's, Dubbo). Special thanks to Claire Bynon  (St Laurence's, Dubbo) the girls Polding Team Manager.  The competition was of a very high standard and our teams performed extremely well. Congratulations to Indiana Lee (St Patrick's Lithgow) who made the Polding Team. We  wish Claire and Indiana the best of luck at the PSSA Championships in Tamworth in June this year.

Congratulations to our six students who competed in the Polding Tennis trials in Newcastle on  Friday 6th February.  Phoebe Johnston (St Mary's Orange), Isabelle Perkins  (St Mary's Orange), Bridie Worthy  (Assumption Bathurst), Layne Horton  (St Raphael's Cowra), Aaron Hegarty (St Brigid's Coonamble) and Bert Ridding  (St Mary's Dubbo). They all played extremely well and were great ambassadors for their school and our Diocese.

Thank you to our Team Manager Adam Foley St John's Primary Dubbo who did a great job looking after our tennis players. Thank you also to CSNSW Sport and Bernadette Duggan (Maitland Newcastle Diocesan Sport Representative) for organising and hosting the trials.

Congratulations to Phoebe Johnston who was selected in the Polding Team to play in the PSSA Tennis Championship at Broadmeadow on the 27th - 30th April. We wish you the best of luck Phoebe.


Polding Basketball Trials - 2021:

Congratulations to our sixteen students who competed in the Polding Basketball trials in Tamworth on  Friday 6th February. Shaylee Holmes  (St Mary's Orange). Jazzy Gordon (St Laurence's Dubbo), Mia Richardson  (St Mary's Dubbo),  Alaqua Thompson  (St Laurence's Dubbo), Maddie Hart (St Patrick's Lithgow), Indi Amos  (St John's Dubbo), Clancy Toshack  (St Mary's Dubbo), Giaan Turner (St Mary's Dubbo), Logan Geddes  (St Matthew's Mudgee), Jordan Geddes  (St Matthew's Mudgee), Callum Bowen  (St Laurence's Dubbo), Sam Heargraves (St Laurences Dubbo), Cooper O'Neil  (St Mary's Dubbo) Cohen Weir ( St Mary's Dubbo), Austin Hunt  (St Mary's Dubbo) and Darcy Morris (St joseph's Gilgandra). They all played extremely well, displayed excellent sportsmanship and they were a pleasure to take away.

Thank you to our Team Managers  Monique Donoghue and Claire Hargreaves St Laurence's Dubbo who did a great job looking after our basketballers. Thank you also to CSNSW Sport and Heidi Hardaker (Armidale Diocesan Sport Representative) for organising and hosting the trials.

It was a great effort to have 9 players participate in the possible probable games:  Jazzy Gordon, Mia Richardson ,  Alaqua Thompson , Maddie Hart, Clancy Toshack, Logan Geddes , Jordan Geddes, Sam Heargraves and Cohen Weir.

Special congratulations to Jazzy Gordon, Alaqua Thompson and Clancy Toshack who were selected to represent Polding at the PSSA Championships at Cambridge Park on the 1st - 3rd June 2021.

Special congratulations to Sam Hargreaves and Cohen Weir who were selected to represent Polding at the PSSA Championships in Terrigal from the 27th - 29th April 2021.

We wish Jazzy, Alaqua, Clancy, Sam and Cohen all the best this is a fantastic achievement.

Polding Touch Trials - 2021:

The Polding Touch Trials were held in Port Macquarie on Friday 28th May. It was a very windy day which made the touch fairly tough.
