The Bathurst Diocesan tennis tournament,  is to be held in Orange on Monday 8th May  (Week 3 Term 2)

Both the  boys and girls competition will be held at the Orange Ex-Services Tennis Complex (Warrendine Street).

Note : As per rules for the NSWCCC tennis carnival  students must be in Yrs 7-11

There is a maximum of two teams per school for each of the boys and girls competition.

Teams need to arrive by 8:45 so play can commence at 9:00 am sharp. The tournament this year is Round Robin. It is estimated that the day  will conclude by  approximately 3:00pm.

The format will be as follows. Players will be numbered 1-4 – with 1 being the strongest player and 4 the weakest. This order cannot be changed throughout the event.

 Doubles pairs can be any combination from the 4 players.  

Singles:  1 vs 1                                                            Doubles:    1&2 vs 1&2

                2 vs 2                                                                                  3 &4 vs 3&4

                3 vs 3                                                                                          

                4 vs 4

Each match will be one set (first to six)  with a tie break at 6 all if necessary. The winner will be decided on sets first, if sets are equal then the team winning the most games will be the winner. If sets and games are equal then a tie breaker will be played for each singles match – using a tiebreaker only – team winning the most tie breakers will be the winner. If tie breakers are equal then the team that won the number 1 singles match will be declared the winner
