COVID-19 Safety Plan

Please sit in school groups and try and keep students in separate cohorts
No one should attend if they are not well and have any cold/flu symptoms
Please inform your school community of these expectations
Sanitiser cleaning material will be on hand for wiping stopwatches.
Cost:
To cover costs, each competitor is asked to pay a $10 levy to their school. The convenor will send the CEDB Dio Sport Rep the number of students competing from each school. The CEDB will then bill the school $10 for each competitor. The money will cover the running costs of the carnival as well it will assist in providing some relief staff to assist in running the carnival. The levy is not to be paid at the carnival, it is to be collected at school.
Individual Cost
Child Swimmer: $3
Spectators: $1
Under 2: Free
RULES:
As the Northern Region Carnival is a selection trial for the Diocesan Carnival, the rules of swimming will be enforced. Here is a basic guideline as to the rules of each stroke.
A one start rule will apply - please remind your students
FREESTYLE
As the stroke implies, there are no rules regarding stroke form

This must be done with a Breaststroke kick, feet pointing out
The swimmer can not drop a foot or leg at any time during kicking motion
The feet must be turned outwards during the propulsive part of the kick
Breaking the surface of the water with the feet is allowed unless followed by a downward dolphin kick
The children will not be allowed to ‘double pull’ during the dive
