Cricket, Touch and Softball Trials Information to select 2025 Bathurst Dio Teams
The Diocese of Bathurst will be conducting cricket, touch and softball selection trials in Dubbo on Thursday, 20th November 2025 (backup Wednesday, 26th November).
The school selects students to represent at these trials.
At the end of the Bathurst Diocesan Cricket, Touch and Softball Trials a team (or students) will be selected to attend the respective Polding trials date and venue TBC.

Expectation of Students Attending the Trials:
As this is a representative pathway trial the students must display a high standard of ability in their chosen sport to warrant being sent to the trials. They should be involved in regular competition and have a sound knowledge of the rules of the game. The girls will be playing with a normal cricket ball and thus should be use to this form of competition.
Registration & Levy:
Students are to register on the CSNSW Sport website. To offset the costs incurred in conducting the trials, students will be levied $10.00 each. Students are not to bring the money to the trial. The Levy is to be paid on the CSNSW Sport website.
Lunches: There will be NO canteen facilities students will need to bring their own lunch and drinks.
Uniforms: - Cricket - Long cricket white pants and school sports shirt.
- Softball - Club softball gear or school sports uniform
- Touch - School sports uniform
Students are not permitted to trial if they are wearing any representative gear.
Protective Gear: Students must supply their own protective gear. Students may bring their own equipment, relevant to cricket. Wicketkeepers must wear a pair of pads, a pair of wicket keeping gloves and a genital protector (if male) and a helmet when keeping up to the stumps
Batters must wear a helmet, well fitted pads and batting gloves. Batters (if male) must wear a genital protector.
There will be cricket gear available at the girls trial that can be borrowed and returned.
Softball: All fielders must wear a glove. Shin guards are recommended for close in-fielders.

Basketball & Tennis Information to select 2025 Bathurst Dio Teams
The school selects students to represent at these trials.
Registration: All competitors must register on the CSNSW Sport Website for the event.
Lunches: There will be NO canteen facilities at Tennis. Students at this venue therefore, will need to bring their own lunch and drinks with them. A canteen will be available at Basketball.
Uniforms: - Tennis - School sports uniform, Racquet
- Basketball - School sports uniform
Protective Gear: Students must supply their own protective gear. Students may bring their own equipment, relevant to their sport.
Students are not permitted to trial if they are wearing any representative gear.
