Writing

Today we will be doing some work around inverted commas direct speech. There will also be some creative writing about being a student during the Victorian Era.

First I want you to look on the Bitesize BBC lesson link below and watch the two videos: "Inverted speech with Mr Smith." and " Learn about inverted commas." 😏😁

A reminder that direct speech is writing something exactly the way someone has said it. Reported/ Indirect speech is when the writer will share the main points of what someone has said without writing exactly what they said in full.

Topic - Famous Victorians

The Victorian period had many prominent figures. So far we've had a close look at Queen Victoria but below are two people worthy of note from the Victorian period in Britain.

Your Task:

Pick the one you find most interesting and create a fact file about the from their video. You could do this however you like (Google docs/slides, by hand etc.)
