Made 4 Life Assembly

Reading

Please read the text "Johnny and the dead" in the CGP comprehension booklet and choose 5 ambitious words to focus on.

Create a glossary including:

  • a definition (in your own words)

  • putting the word into a sentence

  • multiple synonyms (words with the same meaning) and antonyms (words with the opposite meaning) for the word

  • a picture, could be from google images or even one you have drawn!

Make sure you have a separate page or Google slide for these, as you can continue to add to it each week!

DO NOT complete the questions for this text... yet!

Writing

This week you will be writing your own HEALTHY recipe!

Today your task is:

  1. Find a healthy recipe YOU would like to make. You can use the links below to do this. You may choose a meal you already love and want to make, maybe a family recipe . . . What you make is up to you! And remember keep it simple, foods like omelettes, salads or fajitas are easy to make, healthy and don't have too many ingredients!

  2. Try and find the ingredients you need for your recipe, if you can't, don't worry replace them with something else or don't use them, you don't have to stick to your recipe exactly!

Tomorrow you will be trying to make the meal you have chosen so make sure you have everything you need and have asked someone at home for their help if you need it.

Look below for the recipe your teacher's will be using to make a delicious healthy omelette!!! YUMMY!

Here's a super simple recipe to follow, if you're struggling to find another one you can use this. Your teacher's will be using this recipe too!
