Writing

Today's English lesson is focussed on understanding alliteration. Click the BBC bitesize link below to head over to their web page, there you can follow the lesson and complete the activities (Note: if some of the activities don't work on your phone/tablet/computer that's ok, just do your best, the google quiz below is the more important). Once you're happy you understand how to use them then complete the Google quiz below.

Topic - Victorian Toys

As you may have discovered from your research so far, life for children (and everyone) in Victorian times was very different.

Today you'll be looking at VICTORIAN TOYS. Remember there were no electronic toys or gadgets in Victorian times so the way children played was very different.

As usual have a look at the video/websites below to get an idea of what some of the toys were like, if you would like to take notes you can but you don't have to.

Today's Task

Your Topic task for today is to design your own Victorian style toy. You might choose to draw your toy, draw it and add written information or you could even try and make it. However you complete this task we'd like to see a picture or video on Dojo of your new Victorian toy - if you make it you could even send a video of you using it!

Typing Club

If you began using Typing Club in Year 4 and have already completed the levels below, then please continue on from your current level.

Optional Activity

Current Events Kahoot!!!

So I have been looking around on Kahoot and seeing how it would work with home learning..... now this is slightly different to what you're used to. You are given a nickname (to avoid silliness) and there is a link at the end of the quiz for you to check the scoreboard. After the deadline (3pm today). I will see if I can release the results of who in year 5 got top scores afterwards! THIS IS A TRIAL! If all goes well I might try this for reading occasionally :)

PS: I (Tiffany) am the almighty 'Green Bat' try to beat my score!
