At the end of the course, students should be able to point out engineering ideas into sketches by gaining knowledge in engineering drawing and process in engineering design and planning. Through formal drafting and mechanical design, this will establish the skills an engineer must improve before using Computer Aided Design (CAD).
The topics include Freehand Sketching of Border Lines, Horizontal and Vertical Grid Lines, Inclined and Regular Curved Lines and Lettering. These activities enhanced Civil Engineering students' skills to clearly sketch lines and curves in freehand using basic drawing equipment. Also, it allowed them to interpret these drawings that will comply to engineering standards.
