At the end of the course, students should be apply their knowledge in different computer technologies and languages in their future specialization. Through rudimentary knowledge in computer fundamentals and programming, civil engineering students will be able to perform working tasks involving engineering chores and sorting them out easier through means of computer programming.

The topics began in the history of computer, kinds and elements of computer, parts of motherboard and generation of computers. With that, students were able to be familiarize with computer parts and historical background of computer. Also, number systems and conversion were discussed, giving students prior knowledge in converting different systems and binary arithmetic.
