At the end of the course, students must be able to create mathematical models with the help of Integral Calculus. From geometric to physical applications, knowing the inverse process of two quantities is highly relevant in the field of Civil Engineering. From determining the amount of needed materials to measuring weight of the structure, The concept of integral calculus will help students to understand how infrastructures are able to withstand natural/man made disasters and how they should assess on matters concerning infrastructure designs.
The course lessons include fundamental integration formulas, such as Power Formula, Logarithmic, Trigonometric Functions, Transformation by Trigonometric Formulas, Inverse Trigonometric Functions and Integration by Parts. After consecutive meetings, students must be able to properly carry out integration using these formulas and use various techniques of integration for different cases.
