The course is designed to introduce the students to energy and water related issues in the build environment considering the sustainable design approach. Particular focus is given to “Energy Management”, and “Energy Efficiency” as well as renewable energy sources. In the field of water particular focus will be given to waste water treatment as well as water conservation.
At the end of the course, it is expected that students should be able to:
1. Analysis of Solid Waste Management in BISCAST or Household Energy and Water Consumption Case Study
2. Prepare and deliver design concept presentations, cases study and other project documentation in both written and oral form, and
3. Presentation of the case study.
Here contains the module topics pertinent to the Energy and Water in the Build Enviironment and its several practical applications:
This module will provide students a comprehensive overview to the enormous opportunities available for people’s contribution for the care of the environment.
This module will provide the needed information in the preparation of the case study analysis and report that you will submit at the end of the course.
This module will help in undertaking strategies for the prevention, reuse and recycling treatment of solid waste.
This module will enable students to implement strategies for the creation of an environmentally friendly indoor and outdoor building environment.
This module will familiarize students of the strategies to attain a climate resilient and affordable housing.
