Week 21: 2/22-2/26

Hi everyone!

I hope your families had a wonderful February break! Mine was filled with reading, trying new recipes, and lots of shoveling :(. Hopefully the snow is on it's way out and warmer days are in our near future!

Here's what you can look forward to this week:

This Week's Remote Work: Please help your child to remember to put their completed remote work into their Take Home Folder to return to school. Cohort B students took all of their remote work for this week home last Friday and should find all necessary materials in their Take Home Folders. There are several highlighted assignments on this week's remote schedule. These assignments are "must-do" assignments and should be completed during your child's remote learning days. This week, the "must-do" assignments are:

  • Math practice pages "Practice with Distance Riddles and What's the Number?" (Day 1 Remote Work)

  • Word Study Jamboard Sort-- silent e vs 1-1-1 doubling rule (Day 1 Remote Work)

  • Social Studies-- Thinking Like a Historian Notebook entry: Using Multiple Sources (Day 1 Remote Work)

  • Black History Month Biography (Day 2 Remote Work)

  • Sentence Editing Practice (Day 2 Remote Work)

  • Science: Animals Through Time (Day 2 Remote Work)

  • Lexia Core 5

  • Dreambox

Covid Pool Testing: Before break, our school piloted a pool testing program where students could sign up to be tested for Covid right in our classroom. This went really well and students were shocked to see how it easy and painless it was! Nurse Karey should be sending out a link to register for testing this week!

That's all for now! Have a great week!Ms. McLellan
