Volunteers

We believe that parents and carers are the primary educators of their children. As such we actively encourage families to come into school as frequently as possible to support the teaching and learning.

We run parent reader sessions, where parents and carers come in on a weekly basis to read with a selection of children from reception to year 6. We provide these parents with training and support on how they can support and develop the readers skills and confidence. If this is something you would be interested in, please make an appointment to speak to Miss Martinez our Principal.

We also encourage parents to spend time in class supporting groups of children or even the class themes or topics. For example, if you are a keen cook or baker, and would like to share your skills with the children, please speak to your child's class teacher to arrange a convenient time to come in. You may also be approached by the class teacher to share your skills and interests.

Please see the Safeguarding tab for further information regarding safeguarding guidance for volunteers and visitors.
