Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Curriculum Intent

At Trinity, we provide all children with the skill and the will to become holistic, life-long learners. To create independent, resilient and critical thinkers who are inquisitive and curious about the world around them and leading their own learning. To provide every child with the skills, knowledge and understanding to develop firm foundations to support their journey through the school. The warm enabling environment, paired with the focus upon skillful adult interactions, aids the learning and development of all children as they learn through play and exploration.

What does EYFS look like at Trinity?

All learning opportunities are maximised through our holistic curriculum which consists of quality, cross-curricular links. Sustained, shared thinking is facilitated through the extensive timetabled periods of play which allows children to develop their ideas and follow their interests.

Our robust indoor and outdoor play provision, along with our Forest School sessions, Nature club and trips provide children with rich and wholesome learning opportunities and the ‘cultural capital’ integral to their well-being, learning and development.
