Locating Materials
After familiarizing themselves with the creator(s) of the material and their context, the processor will need to retrieve the accessioned material so that it can be surveyed. Depending on the format of the material, the processor will need to do one or more of the following:
Digital material (including material from removable media): Contact the Archivist for Digital Curation to review the digital content. They will create a copy of the material for the processor, who can then review it using the appropriate tool(s). If necessary, digital material can also be reviewed on the Curation Remote Server (internal link), which has specialized software to facilitate survey work.
Physical material: Retrieve this material from the Bentley's closed stacks, using location information in the accession record(s) and this location guide (public link).
