Overview

To create good top containers in ArchivesSpace, field and processing archivists must do the following for each physical container:

• Create new top container for, or associate a previously existing top container with (public link), the box containing physical processed or accessioned material.

• Physically and intellectually associate a barcode (public link) to the top container.

• Add a container profile (public link) to the top container.

• Add a location (public link) to the top container.
