Just a little update from Honors.
ILR- The 4th Quarter Independent Literature Requirement is due 5/3. All information is on my website.

4th Grade
In Reading, we wrapped up our Poetry Unit today with a Shel Silverstein Reader’s Theater. The students did a fantastic job and thank you to all the parents for attending! After our poetry unit, we should be able to complete one more literature study covering Bridge to Teribithia.
Greek & Latin Roots- We have jumped right back in! Our next test covering roots 1-80 will be on May 12th. Make sure you are studying your quizlets or the quizlet on the Google Classroom website.
In Math, we are learning Geometry. We are learning about quadrilaterals, triangles, and volume. Next up, will be a unit on measurement.
The Quarter 4 Math Projects are due on 5/5. Students are going to tie in Geometry with math. Students have been assigned a Origami Project. All information is on my website and students were given instructions and a rubric.

5th Grade
In Reading, we wrapped up Poetry with our Poetry Slam. The students did fantastic! The winner was...Brynn Granger! Second place was Sydney Taulbee and third place was Ethan Mindlin! Nice work to all who participated.
In Math, we are learning about volume and surface area. The Quarter 4 Math Projects are due on 5/5. Students are going to tie in Geometry with math. Students have been assigned a Origami Project. All information is on my website and students were given instructions and a rubric.
6th Grade
In Reading, we wrapped up our poetry unit with Poetry Breaks. Each student had the opportunity to recite/perform their chosen poem schoolwide today. The students traveled to all the classrooms and offices on campus today to give everyone a Poetry Break! They did fantastic! After our poetry unit, we should be able to complete one more literature study covering Tom Sawyer.
In Math, we are reviewing for the AZMerit this week as well as preparing for the Math Placement exam for Desert Shadows Middle School.
The Quarter 4 Math Projects are due 5/5. Students are going to tie in what we are learning in math. All instructions and rubrics have been distributed and can be found on my website.
Skills Books #8-10 for Quarter 4 will be graded and recorded with a due date of 5/12.
