Principal's Report School Council February 12th

• February vacation starts in two days

• We have a Golden Eagle Assembly this Friday (rescheduled from last week)

• A CPR and First Aid course training was held for district staff last month

• The Scholastic Book Fair continues this week ending on Friday

• Basketball (boys and girls) ends this week with the final game at home against Stow. The Student-Faculty Basketball game has been scheduled for Thursday, February 25.

• Punk Rope started last week with Ms. Richards

• Our Safety Committee continues to meet each month.

• MARC presentations were held last week for Grades 1-8 – The presentations were well received by students and teachers

* 8th Grade will have their Spanish Placement Exam for high school

• Drama Show rehearsals are on-going for Dr. Dolittle Jr.

• March will bring ELA MCAS Assessments Grades 3-8 – PAC continues to sponsor the MCAS breakfast prior to testing

• The 2014 Auction takes place March 22nd

*Individual Class Gifts are being prepared

• We interviewed for the First Grade Maternity Leave yesterday – The process is on-going

• Four Winds held their winter parent training last month

• The Lip Sync show will be Saturday, March 1st

• DI – Destination Imagination is in full swing – All the teams are meeting and working on their

final solution to their team problem – The competition is on March

• The middle school Color Wars Dance was cancelled due to a conflict with Ski Club – It will be rescheduled

• Global Child has starting meeting again (Chinese Language Focus)

• PAC is sponsoring Jarett Krosoczka (author/writing workshop) after the February vacation

• The spring cohort of RETELL has started for many of our staff members

• Intramural volleyball and basketball will start after the February vacation
