Duplicate Student - Error Message when Deleting

Although LACES attempts to catch duplicate records at intake, sometimes one will slip through, either because the first and last name or social security number weren’t an exact match (which can occur due to name changes, nickname usage, or typos) or because the duplicate warning was not noticed or heeded.

If you come across a duplicate record in your database, you should determine which of the records you wish to keep and proceed with, and which should be deleted or marked as not in use.
