Search for Students in Specific Classes/Groups or Taught by Specific Staff

1.       From the Student grid, click the Searches link on the left

2.       Click the triangle to expand the Enrollments searches

3.       The options display for Staff, Class-Enrolled Students, Class- All Students, or Group-All Students.

a.       Staff allows you to select a staff member or multiple staff members, and the selection returned will be all students with an enrollment record in any class to which that staff member(s) is assigned, regardless of the student’s current status within the class.

b.      Class-Enrolled Students allows you to select a class or classes, and the selection returned will be all students who are currently enrolled in that class or classes. Students who have exited the class or are waiting will not be returned in this search.

c.       Class-All Students allows you to select a class or classes, and the selection returned will be all students with an enrollment record in that class or classes, regardless of the student’s current status within the class(es).

d.      Group-All Students allows you to select a group or groups, and the selection returned will be all students with an enrollment record in that group or groups, regardless of the student’s current status within the group(s).

The Staff, Class, and Group selection screens contain column headings that allow you to filter the search values, and in some cases the starting selection will be pre-filtered. For example, when using the Class-All Students search, the Status column is pre-filtered to only display Active classes. If a filter is in place, this is indicated by a white outline around the filter icon, with the remainder of the column headings remaining grey.

You can remove pre-filters or add additional filters using the filter icon in each column heading. Click the filter icon and select the value and item on which you want to filter and click the Filter button, or click the Clear button to remove all filters in place.

If you put a check next to a record to select it, it will be included in your search results even if you then apply a filter that no longer displays that record in the list.  Similarly, in some cases, there will be multiple pages of options displayed and you can make selections across multiple pages.  Click the arrow(s) in the bottom left next to the page indicator to move forward or backward by page. When you click the Apply button to generate the search results, all selections will be included even if they were on separate pages.
