Update Employment Status
The process to update the employment status is the same for students and tutors but we will focus on students in the example below.
In the Demographics panel of the student record, the Employment Status is read-only. The Employment Status displayed here is based on the most recent line of history in the Work History panel of the student record.
The Work History panel allows the student Work History to be entered, edited, viewed or deleted. The initial work history record is populated at the time of the student intake, and the start date of the work history record will be the same as the student intake date.
In the Student area of LACES, click the edit icon or double-click the student record that needs updated employment information.
Go to the History tab of the student record and click the Work History pane.
In the Work history panel, click to add a new record and enter the new employment data. The original line of work history should not be edited so the historical employment data will remain accurate.
The line of Work History with the most recent Start Date is the one that populates as the Employment Status on the Demographics page in the student record.
