We collaborate with university leadership, safety officials, and external partners to coordinate responses and provide timely updates.
Media relations at UAF involve building and maintaining relationships with journalists, news outlets, and other media representatives to ensure that our stories are told accurately and compellingly. The UAF PIO leads these efforts, while the CLA PIO team plays a pivotal role by serving as the primary point of contact for media inquiries related to the College of Liberal Arts. We assist faculty and staff in preparing for interviews, crafting press releases, and pitching stories that highlight the innovative research, impactful community engagements, and academic excellence within CLA.
