Inventory Count
The assets owned by companies for sales activities are called inventory assets.
The inventory count is the quantity checking work to grasp the difference between inventory quantity data and the actual inventory quantity and to confirm inventory assets.
Check / correct differences caused by various factors, and confirm the revenue and expenses within the period.
1. Inventory schedule / securing of personnel / grasping contents of inventory implementation / confirmation of mismatch
1) Check inventory count date / time
· Check the inventory count date / time from area manager
· Notify customers about changes in business hours
(2) Preparing the shift schedule

· Secure the number of staff who can carry out inventory count smoothly
* staff members are also necessary for prior preparations before inventory count as well as on the day of inventory count
* Time related to inventory count and the number of necessary staff member will change in proportion to the inventory quantity of the store
※ Store manager will do POS operation in the center, he/she can not count as the count staff members
(3) Grasping the content of inventory count implementation
Prepare in advance, check the inventory manual, so that the inventory can be carried out smoothly.
(4) Confirm transfer to/ from other store/ warehouse processing in advance
· Transfering to the warehouse and other stores are completed in advance the inventory count , and check whether there is omission of entry on system.
(5) Confirm the item to be disposed
· If there are items that have not been disposed yet, these need to be count in inventory, so check the contents / quantity of the items to be disposed.
(6) Check inventory loss products
· Check if there is police seized goods
2. Create / update layout diagram
(1) Procedure for creating inventory layout diagram
Create an inventory layout diagram in the Excel file "Inventory map_OO area _OO store".
If there is a previous inventory layout diagram, look around the shop based on the data at the time of inventory and check the number of shelves to be changed.
※ Be sure to fix / create after the organization of the sales floor is completed
* Because we often change the layout at the season change timing
① Grasp store layout
Count the number of spans on the wall and measure and grasp the information of the large frame by handwriting.
②Write the shelf number in the layout drawing
※ Set the shelf number (no skip or duplicate number)
※ Number the ceiling / wall / warehouse / show window / all the places where the item is located including the mannequin
※ Allocate the storage bin to the unknown item storage area and error product storage area
(Unknown item BOX and mobile hanger rack are prepared)
※ Also assign numbers to empty fixtures (fixtures not displaying anything in the sales floor)
* Shelf number write from right to left in the direction closer to the counter
* As a rule, it will make sure that there is no skipping number as a shelf number, but if you are building in two stories or more or warehouses / walls with merchandise consciously "shoot" the number to increase the management efficiency (From #5000 on the first floor, #8000 on the second floor, etc.)
※ This number will be print out as the shelf number sticker
3. Other preparations
(1) Check number of handy scanner

(3) Check number of laptop PC
(4) Printing / Pasting shelf number sticker
(5) Check if the shelf number sticker and the layout diagram shelf numbers are matched
