Giant green anemones are among the prettiest animals in tidepools along the Pacific coast. Microscopic green algae give them their spectacular color. They can grow up to a foot high, and as big around as a dinner plate! Also in the tidepool below are pink coral seaweed, pink encrusting algae, and turban shells.
