We saw a tremendous amount of sea foam at the beach on Saturday! There was so much piled up that it looked like snow! Although it looks like soap suds, sea foam is a natural occurrence. Sea foam forms when strong winds whip up remains of phytoplankton into masses of frothy bubbles. The stronger the wind and waves, the more sea foam washed onto shore.
