Imad Awde says

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure." - 1 Selected Messages, 204-205

Imad Awde Some interesting thoughts on this thread. Mostly wrong assumptions about what I believe and teach.

I wish though my accusers would be honest and brave enough to take Dean's challenge and watch the video he posted. Maybe then they will better understand.

But I'm used to this by now. Some people refuse to understand. They are not seeking truth or understanding. They hear a rumour, take it as gospel truth and run with it.

So here are some clarifications. Not for the sake my accusers, but for the sake of those who are reading.

1. Yes, I believe what the Bible says, that Jesus Himself, a Divine being, dwells in the believer (Colossians 1:26, 27, 1 John 4:4, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 3:17,

2 Corinthians 13:5, Romans 8:10)

2. I believe that the same divine Word of God that was with God took upon Himself flesh and became a man to dwell with us, then this same person was made a life giving spirit to dwell in us (John 1:14; 1 Cor 15:45; Gal 4:6)

3. I believe that being born again means we receive Christ within (Joh 1:12,13). That our bodies are the temple of God, and that when we receive Christ, we have His life, His words, His mind and Himself. Why focus on the words and ignore or reject the rest?

4. I never said when we receive Christ "we can only do righteousness and we can not sin" meaning, everything we do is righteous. This is holy flesh teaching. I said that the reason we do righteousness is because we have righteousness within. When we receive Christ, we are born again, we receive a new heart from which righteousness comes out. But this does not mean we can never do wrong. I often spoke about how believers do fall and how we can lose our salvation by rejecting Christ.

5. I do not believe that Christ within means I have no more control over my choices and I lose my personality. Again, I often spoke about my life/spirit being United with God's (1 Cor 6:17).

6. The only way to be saved is to receive the Son of God within. There is NO OTHER WAY. Whoever teaches you another way is an AGENT OF SATAN and "let him be accursed" as Paul said. Here is what the Bible says:

1 John 5: 11,12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is IN HIS SON. He that HATH THE SON hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

It doesn't say he that has the words or thoughts or friend of the Son. It says He that has the Son has life.

The words written in the Bible do not have eternal life and can not give you eternal life even if you memorise the whole lot. If so, the scribes and Pharisees will beat all Christians to heaven. The scriptures testify of Christ in whom is found salvation and eternal life (John 5:39, 40)
