It appears the current SDA church is by and large joining the other worldly churches in the fun of Easter. Is that acceptable? Is it time to be a Protestant?

Governor Washburn, of Wisconsin, in his annual message declared “that (1) church fairs, (2) charitable raffles, (3)concert lotteries for charitable and other purposes, (4) prize packages, (5) ‘grabbags,’ (6) Sabbath-school and other religious chances by ticket, are (7) nurseries of crime, inasmuch as (8) they promise something for nothing, (9) are games of chance, and (10) are really gambling. He says that the (11) pernicious spirit of gambling is (12) fostered, (13) encouraged, and (14) kept alive by these agencies (church sponsored activities listed above, etc.) to a degree little known by good citizens; and that, but for them, the ordinary laws against gambling would be much less violated and much more easily enforced.These practices, he declares, ought not to be permitted any longer to debauch the morals of the young.” GC88 386-387

(This article written so LONG ago, and STILL these things are prevalent in the churches TODAY in 2018 !! When is the rebellious spirit going to stop and conversion come in? Where is Jesus reflected among the professed people of God? Satan did NOT want this Morning Manna put out. The program on my computer kept stalling the whole time every few lines!
