Promises to Build Your Faith and Belief In The Word of God

Do we realize the magnitude of the work in which we are engaged? If we did, there would be more fervency in our prayers. Our entreaties would rise before God with convincing earnestness. We would plead for power as a hungry child pleads for bread. If we realized the greatness of the Gift, if we desired the attainment of the Blessing, our petitions would ascend with earnestness, importunity, urgency. It would be as if we were at the gate of heaven, soliciting entrance.

"If Christ's soldiers look faithfully to their Captain for their orders, success will attend their warfare against the enemy. No matter how they may be beset, in the end they will be triumphant. Their infirmities may be many, their sins great, their ignorance seemingly insurmountable; but if they realize their weakness, and look to Christ for aid, He will be their efficiency.... If they avail themselves of His power, their characters will be transformed; they will be surrounded with an atmosphere of light and holiness. Through His merits and imparted power they will be “more than conquerors.” Supernatural help will be given them, enabling them in their weakness to do the deeds of omnipotence.... HP 252.4.

"By faith they are to look calmly upon every foe, exclaiming: “We fight the good fight of faith, under the command of an omnipotent Power. Because He lives, we shall live also. Through Jesus ... we may withstand all the fiery darts of the enemy.” HP 252.5

Christ: "He pleaded with the Father for power to overcome their unbelief, to break the fetters with which Satan had enthralled them, and to conquer the destroyer" HLv 66.6.

"Never before had angels listened to such a prayer. The Father Himself would answer the petition of His Son. The heavens were opened, and upon the Saviour's head descended a dovelike form of purest light" HLv 67.1.

"Few at the Jordan except John discerned the heavenly vision. Yet the solemnity of the divine Presence rested on the assembly. Christ's upturned face was glorified as they had never before seen the face of man. From the open heavens a voice was heard: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” HLv 67.2.

Just as Christ pleaded with His Father for POWER to overcome their unbelief, so are WE to PLEAD earnestly for POWER to resist the enemy and for POWER to OVERCOME THE ENEMY!

Faith = obedience is the key - Watch David Clayton's sermon to help increase YOUR FAITH! here:

Many Christians today have stopped believing in miracles. They believe that God does not work in this way in our time. Prayer is like a raffle with no real expectation that God will answer. This sermon shows clearly that the only reason for the lack of God's intervention today, is a lack of faith.

Faith is believing (knowing) that God WILL do as he has already promised in the Bible!

Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith (obedience to His Words see John 15:7) it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

"It is those who, with love for God and their fellow men, are striving to help others, that become established, strengthened, settled, in the truth." The true Christian ChS 106.4 Testimonies for the Church Volume 5, p. 393.2

How can you become settled in the TRUTH - if you don't study to KNOW what it IS?

He Who healed the sick and cast out demons when He walked among men, is the same mighty Redeemer today. Faith comes by the Word of God. Then grasp His promise, “Him that cometh to Me I will in nowise cast out.” Cast yourself at His feet with the cry, “Lord, I believe; help Thou mine unbelief".

Only ONE MAN, the man Jesus Christ could fulfill the 300+ prophecies in the Bible about the Messiah. The Son of God come down as the first born of Heaven to become Divinity and Humanity blended together so that He could send us His own 100% human and 100% Divine quickened (1 Cor 15:45) Spirit to dwell in our mortal bodies. The Spirit of Christ quickening us, transforms us into constant agreement with the Word of God. The Son of God came to show us not what a God could do, but what a man can do when he trusts fully in the Word of God, the only begotten Son of God:

Here are 8 of those 300 prophecies:

(1) The Messiah will be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:1; Luke 2:4-6)

(2) The Messiah will be a descendant of Jacob. (Numbers 24:17; Matthew 1:2)

(3) The Messiah will enter Jerusalem as a king riding on a donkey. (Zechariah 9:9; Mark 11:4-11)

(4) The Messiah will be betrayed by a friend. (Psalm 41:9; Luke 22:47,48)

(5) The Messiah's betrayal money will be used to purchase a potter's field. (Zechariah 11:13; Matthew 27:9,10)

(6) The Messiah will be spat upon and struck. (Isaiah 50:6; Matthew 26:67)

(7) The Messiah's hands and feet will be pierced. (Psalm 22:16; John 20:25-27)

(8) Soldiers will gamble for the Messiah's garments. (Psalm 22:18; Luke 23:34)

There is no way one man could have fulfilled all 8 of these prophecies unless God was making it happen. Who else controls history? Who else could give us such irrefutable proof for belief in the one and only literal true Son of God?

Pray bold, daring, fearless, intrepid, brave, courageous, valiant, heroic, prayers.

Prayer develops trust in the heart of the believer that God absolutely will perform what He has said. For the believer, all intimacy with God is born out of trust that has been developed in times of prayer. Intimacy leads to faith and audacious praying. Faith and audacious prayer produce the miraculous.

"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible" Matthew 19:26.

Ask—believe—and wait in faith to receive what He has promised.

"I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted" Job 42:2.

"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27.

"Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you" Jeremiah 32:17.

Have you sinned? Are you in despair that God has forsaken you and can't forgive you, again?

2 Peter 1:4 (KJV) "Whereby are GIVEN unto us exceeding great and precious PROMISES: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature [Christ's character], having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.!!!

WHAT? We are GIVEN Christ's character by claiming the PROMISES of God given to us via his one and only true literal begotten son of god, who's NAME is the WORD OF GOD (Rev 19:13)!

We have the same problem the disciples of Christ had... and WHEN they figured it out they were FILLED with the Holy Spirit of Christ and thousands were added to the church daily!

Here's what they figured out and what we need to figure out:

"Pentecost brought them the heavenly illumination. The truths they could not understand while Christ was with them were now unfolded. With a faith and assurance that they had never before known, they accepted the teachings of the Sacred Word. No longer was it a matter of faith with them that Christ was the Son of God. They knew that, although clothed with humanity, He was indeed the Messiah, and they told their experience to the world with a confidence which carried with it the conviction that God was with them." The Acts of the Apostles, p. 45.3

Satan had accused Jacob before the angels of God, claiming the right to destroy him because of his sin; he had moved upon Esau to march against him; and during the patriarch's long night of wrestling, Satan endeavored to force upon him a sense of his guilt, in order to discourage him, and break his hold upon God. When in his distress Jacob laid hold of the Angel, and made supplication with tears, the heavenly Messenger, in order to try his faith, also reminded him of his sin, and endeavored to escape from him. But Jacob would not be turned away. He had learned that God is merciful, and he cast himself upon His mercy. He pointed [Page 202] back to his repentance for his sin, and pleaded for deliverance. As he reviewed his life, he was driven almost to despair; but he held fast the Angel, and with earnest, agonizing cries urged his petition until he prevailed.

Such will be the experience of God's people in their final struggle with the powers of evil. God will test their faith, their perseverance, their confidence in His power to deliver them. Satan will endeavor to terrify them with the thought that their cases are hopeless; that their sins have been too great to receive pardon. They will have a deep sense of their shortcomings, and as they review their lives their hopes will sink. But remembering the greatness of God's mercy, and their own sincere repentance, they will plead His promises made through Christ to helpless, repenting sinners. Their faith will not fail because their prayers are not immediately answered. They will lay hold of the strength of God, as Jacob laid hold of the Angel, and the language of their souls will be, "I will not let Thee go, except Thou bless me."

Had not Jacob previously repented of his sin in obtaining the birthright by fraud, God could not have heard his prayer and mercifully preserved his life. So in the time of trouble, if the people of God had unconfessed sins to appear before them while tortured with fear and anguish, they would be overwhelmed; despair would cut off their faith, and they could not have confidence to plead with God for deliverance. But while they have a deep sense of their unworthiness, they will have no concealed wrongs to reveal. Their sins will have been blotted out by the atoning blood of Christ, and they cannot bring them to remembrance.

Satan leads many to believe that God will overlook their unfaithfulness in the minor affairs of life; but the Lord shows in His dealing with Jacob that He can in no wise sanction or tolerate evil. All who endeavor to excuse or conceal their sins, and permit them to remain upon the books of heaven, unconfessed and unforgiven, will be overcome by Satan. The more exalted their profession, and the more honorable the position which they hold, the more grievous is their course in the sight of God, and the more certain the triumph of the great adversary.

Yet Jacob's history is an assurance that God will not cast off those who have been betrayed into sin, but who have returned [Page 203] unto Him with true repentance. It was by self-surrender and confiding faith that Jacob gained what he had failed to gain by conflict in his own strength. God thus taught His servant that divine power and grace alone could give him the blessing he craved. Thus it will be with those who live in the last days. As dangers surround them, and despair seizes upon the soul, they must depend solely upon the merits of the atonement. We can do nothing of ourselves. In all our helpless unworthiness we must trust in the merits of the crucified and risen Saviour. None will ever perish while they do this. The long, black catalogue of our delinquencies is before the eye of the Infinite. The register is complete; none of our offenses are forgotten. But He who listened to the cries of His servants of old, will hear the prayer of faith and pardon our transgressions. He has promised, and He will fulfill His word.

Jacob prevailed because he was persevering and determined. His experience testifies to the power of importunate prayer. It is now that we are to learn this lesson of prevailing prayer, of unyielding faith. The greatest victories to the church of Christ or to the individual Christian are not those that are gained by talent or education, by wealth or the favor of men. They are those victories that are gained in the audience chamber with God, when earnest, agonizing faith lays hold upon the mighty arm of power.

Those who are unwilling to forsake every sin and to seek earnestly for God's blessing, will not obtain it. But all who will lay hold of God's promises as did Jacob, and be as earnest and persevering as he was, will succeed as he succeeded. "Shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily." Luke 18:7, 8." http://www.whiteestate.org/books/pp/pp18.html

WHEN do God's people began to pray day and night for deliverance? James White stated when in his Present Truth article,
