En nom del pare (1999) is the author's coming-of-age novel, a novel in which the return to the city with the death of the absent father serves the protagonist as a personal and generational search for the city of Tarragona as a central space.
When Alicia has to return to her hometown following the death of her father, the city of Tarragona becomes the bridge of dialogue with her childhood, adolescence and youth while allowing the author to express some reflections on urban changes and social problems that the city has experienced since the nineties. The narrative voice is intense and innovative, and the rhythm of the narration overlaps with the rhythm of the songs that accompany Genia on the journey of reunion with the city.
