There’s a world outside this window. The children have given a real meaning to this window because when I see them sitting in the rickshaw and see outside with deep observation.
Ali Akbar is a 76years old man who belongs from Kharghar division Abbottabad KPK. He has been a rickshaw driver for last 40 years in this city of Karachi. "I have seen a golden era of rickshaws when travel in rickshaws the best option for the people of Karachi was, but because of the poor infrastructure, increasing population, law and order situation, and the lack of government interest has made things worst" says Akbar while cleaning his rickshaw.
Much Efforts, Much Prosperity:I start my day by 5am in morning and come on road by 6am, I go back home by 9pm, this life is not easy but worth earing rightly.
Desire is Irrelevant: No matter what you feel or want, this is machine which don’t understand fillings.
According to Akbar wew businesses like Uber and Careem have also shifted the customer's choice and now customers feel more comfortable and secure to book a ride on those apps.
We grow through what we go through: "I met hundreds of people regularly, they all teach me something new." says Akbar.
" When I was young, I used to earn individually to feed my family but now every single individual of the family must work hard to fulfill their lively needs," says Akbar.
My oldest friend: “A friend in need is a friend indeed”, this rickshaw took me out from hard time, it helped me in a time when my dearest has left me alone.
All we have is now: People are passengers who are trying to reach to their destination, so the place where one can reflect upon life is journey.
"I will never suggest the young generation choose this as a career. Firstly, because there is too much risk of accidents and there is low maintenance of the road and secondly; in recent days I also encountered snatching issues but thanks to ALMIGHTY ALLAH I managed to escape from the situation," says Akbar.
Move against world : " When I was young people try to find out a secure job, but I prefer to be my own boss because I was thrilled to take risk. ''
He requests the government to consider the condition of public transport and take some positive steps in this regard because like every other sector many are attached to this too.
We all have stories, we didn’t share: When you associate anyone with you then you consider their problems as yours in a same way I consider its problems as my own.
