SOK: How & when did it all start?
UA: It had been started back in 2017, I belong to a small village of KPK Kohat. I always love to take photos and when my family shifted from Kohat to Karachi I came to know that photography was on the boom as I said I always love to capture pictures so one of my friends here in Karachi suggested I join Talha Ghouri photography diploma classes. And I did the same I started taking his classes where I learn a lot of things about photography and learn a lot of different techniques which I have not been aware of when I am done with my diploma. I went to my village for some family gathering and there one of my friends from village tell me that he earning a lot of bucks from earning online by doing freelancing and at that moment I asked him to teach me so that I can earn too. And with a lot of days passing, he taught me about freelancing platforms and I made my profile on Fiverr. That is how it all started.

SOK: How was your experience when you started freelancing?
UA: If I recall in the very beginning it was very difficult for me because I have made my profile and everything that was required for a good profile but still, I didn’t get any orders. I can tell you that every morning when I wake up, I used to check my phone too if there is any order or any query from any client. I know I have made gigs related to graphics design service and it was very difficult to get any order as the market was very saturated for this service. But my friend helps me for getting my first order. Unfortunately, it was a fake order that my friend have given to me. But that order had helped me a lot in optimizing my profile and it brings me different orders from different clients.
SOK: What type of services you are providing to your client?
UA: The service which I provide to my client includes:
Graphic Design
UI Design
Youtube Optimization
Logo Design
Social Media Post designs
Brouchers / Flyers Design
Brand Identity Design
These are some services that I currently provide to my client.
SOK: What level your Fiverr account is now and how much time taken for you to get on that level?
UA: ight now, I’m a level 2 seller on Fiverr. And let me tell you that you are getting on someone's nerves by asking me this question. But I still answer this that it takes me a lot of time and energy and dedication, a lot of sleepless nights, and hard work to get on 2 levels Fiverr account. Now it's a fruitful experience to work as a level 2 seller my hard work pays me off. Let me tell you another thing it was my second time to be a level seller because before this I get to level 2 seller batch but because of some bad clients my performance gets down because of that I was demoted to level 1 seller but still, I didn’t give up I work hard and again I am a level 2 seller…. Alhamdulillah.
SOK: Is it easy to work on Fiverr?
UA: I don’t know what to say on this but if you work hard and most importantly work smart things will start getting easier for you. Fiverr is no doubt a very saturated freelance marketplace so on this marketplace you need to be smart. You should study Fiverr algorithms and how they work for ranking gigs on top. How things work on Fiverr. How to do keyword research and find a niche that is best for you to sell your service on this platform.
SOK: Do you work only on Fiverr or do you also work on another freelancing platform?
UA: I mostly work on Fiverr. But I work on different platforms too. And I also get direct client from social media account like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and others.
SOK: How much are you earning through freelancing?
I earn a good amount monthly I don’t want to disclose any number here. But Alhamdulillah I make a good amount of money and also, I invest some money in different things to experience other businesses as I invest in cryptocurrency, stock, and other things too.
SOK: If anyone can do freelancing easily?
UA: I want to tell you that freelancing is not everyone’s cup of tea. Because it requires a lot of patience, hard work, and dedication. Without any of these, a person can’t do freelancing because it is very hard some of the freelance and YouTubers make it look easier and tell you that they had made 50k dollars in 2 months and that’s true but it requires a lot of patience and hard work for that process. And you cannot earn that huge amount in 2 or 3 days it took you a lot of time and experience to get on that level to earn that much amount of money.
SOK: How beginners should start freelancing any tips for them?
UA: Just pick a skill that excites you and start working on that and don’t worry about earning money because if you learn a skill just to earn money you can never improve yourself make it your passion and work on it. Work every day and improve your skill and when you think you are ready to earn money just then you start selling your services. And here a lot of students ask how would I know that we’re ready? The answer is simple you compare your designs with others and get the idea if you are working well or not.
In the end, I just want to tell my reader that freelancing isn’t hard. But it takes some time and effort from you. If you make effort, you will get succeed. And nowadays as you can see the inflation is increasing but our salaries aren’t increasing and with those little salaries, we can’t manage our home and lifestyle. So, start learning a skill and then sell your services as a freelancer and be your Boss.
So that our today’s interview and I hope you guys liked it and learned a lot of things. So, thank you and Allahafiz.
