Burning Garbage: A Problem For Our Communities

Burning Garbage is very common practice in Pakistan, especially in Karachi in open residential areas. It releases dangerous gases and dust (particulate matter) which contribute to global warming and its hazardous not for the health of a local people but also it pollutes lakes, forests, oceans and cities half a world away from where they originated.
Garbage has changed. Today's garbage contains plastics, dyes, and other chemicals, that release hazardous toxics when burn. Many of these materials were not around many years ago. We also know more about how harmful smoke from burning garbage is, especially for kids and anyone with asthma or trouble breathing.
After burning there is always some waste left from burning and it creates the smell that can’t be bearable,.
