Near Radio Pakistan on Fankar Street in Karachi, there stands a remarkable establishment that has withstood the test of time. Since its inception in 1956, this old shop has been a haven for music enthusiasts, a treasure trove where every kind of musical instrument can be found. The legacy of this humble abode was initiated by a passionate soul named Saleem, and today, his son Fahad proudly carries the torch.

This unassuming shop holds a special place in the hearts of many, owing to its rich history and association with Radio Pakistan. In its heyday, renowned artists and singers frequented its premises, drawn by the allure of its musical offerings. Some sought solace within its walls, engaging in captivating conversations and impromptu jam sessions, while others entrusted the skilled craftsmen with their cherished instruments, seeking repairs or custom creations.

Among the shop's notable achievements is the indelible mark left by Ahmad Jhangala, who meticulously composed the track for Pakistan's national anthem. It was within these very walls that the iconic harmonium, an integral part of the anthem, underwent its transformative tuning, meticulously carried out by the hands of Saleem.
