We expected a lot more from Discord Orbs quest originally. If you watch No Text To Speech, he described all this Discord Orbs bullshit as some enshittification to further piss users off. Were in for a deep dive into a massive clusterfuck.

Why does this always come up

Again, the whole thing about enshittification, a cake with glass shards is the perfect analogy for Discord. Sure the cakes nice, but are the shards necessary? If you watch NTTS, youll understand (that analogy is from HBM) Its just basically shitass corrupt tech corporations being lazy dipshits only trying to make more money by basically flaying users alive. Its not that fucking hard to just not include those fucking shards to begin with. Ive said that like 3 fucking times.

The General Idea

A Discord Orbs quest for 5k orbs, Nice. usually those shitass video quests only give 700 orbs, but 5000? Nice. The whole thing about enshittification is when NTTS read the Orbs Terms, basically saying they can do whatever the fucking hell they want. For example, a quest like this can make only 1 orb, and discord can fucking charge 10↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑100 orbs for a single line of fucking code. That number there is mathematical antischrabidium and, well, some developer tests or some shit like that showed a video quest to earn 4040 orbs, but now they only get 700 orbs for a video quest.

Is Discord trying to redeem themselves?

Discord has a good history of bullshit. A lot of crazy shit happens on discord, thats why people want you to be safe on discord, one of the biggest reason for that is discords lazy ass moderation team. Discord basically pays random dipshits to go to a computer and sleep through an entire fucking 9 to 5. See inappropriate behavior on Discord? Report it, expect them to do something, nothing happens. Ive submitted several fucking reports on single users over a period of time, and their account was still at the "All good" standing, when what theyve been doing should bring them to "Suspended". Theres a lot of fucking affairs, and then they let a fucking AI do it, where someone sends a seemingly innocent image and Discord bans the account because they think its... uhhhhh, club penguin?

No no no, the illegal type. There are people that creepy on Discord, theyll send CSAM content, Discord flags it of course. However, Ive seen people send seemingly innocent content, there was this Marvel preview or some shit at some time, a bunch of fans forwarded it to their servers, and they all got banned because Discord fucking thought it was CP. Make Discord actually a safe community. Discords reputation has been tainted by all the bullshit that goes on, from pedophiles to spies to people who get the platform banned in an entire fucking country. All you need is some crazy drug addict and a phone, and a platform is fucked. There are kids trying to make other kids suicide, there are kids under 13, there are creepy 50+ year old pedophiles who get away with their bullshit, there are fucking drug dealers who get away with their bullshit, and they end up fucking mailing illegal goods all because discord just simply fucking pays some people to sleep at a desk for the entire fucking 9 to 5. If Discord came to me and asked "why does our platform have such a bad reputation, Lord please save me!!!" Im just gonna say, Maybe find people who are actually going to fucking do their fucking job and keep the fucking platform safe. Some lazy dipshits who will just fucking sleep at a fucking computer for an entire fucking 9 to 5 are going to do fuck all. Ask Discord support something? All they do is just give a fucking copy and paste message which is what I would consider, basically a middle finger to the user. I fucking accidentally deleted my good server in January, I asked Discord to try and restore it, and they were absolutely fuck all help. I was fucking ruined. Discord needs to stop sniffing glue.

Its just one of those fucking things that greedy ass businesses do to only try and earn more money, not even caring if they piss off the users. I mean, yes, its actually serious, and a company this big should not be allowed to just throw away users, basically telling us to go fuck ourselves, but businesses are fucking greedy and they only want their servers to get more money. None of this entire clusterfuck makes any fucking sense. 

Edit - oh fuck apparently that comet AI browser scrapes computers. Oh shit is this a fucking scam? Well then only do it if you have a mac as it cant just scrape your computer like that. However if youre on windows, youre basically naked in public, what fucking ever.
