Learn: Understand that God's love makes each child special. Help them recognize the special talents God has given them.

Faith Blooms: Talk with your child about the special gifts you see in them.
YC Family Supplies: Help you child make the Chapter 4 "God Created Wonderful Me", using your YC Family Supplies. Add items showing their interests and talents.
Book Video: Listen to the story, Mama, Do You Love Me? by Barbara M. Joosse. This is a story of a mother who reassures her little girl that the love she has for her is unconditional. Tell your child God's love for them is always unconditional, just like the mother's love in the story.
Prayer Activity: Pray the action prayer, Praise God for Wonderful Me!

Learn: Identify the many feelings God gives to all his children. Understand that God knows how we feel.

Faith Blooms: Discuss with your child what makes them happy, sad or perhaps scared. Let them know no matter what they feel, it's okay. God loves them and understands, you do too! All feelings are a gift from God.
Video: Watch and listen to The Feelings Song.
Activity: Using materials at home, make simple paper bag puppets, each expressing different emotions, such as love, anger, fear, surprise, grumpy and so on. Share the thoughts that come to mind with each emotion. It's healthy!
Prayer: Together, read the prayer poem Thank you for our Feelings. Invite your child to repeat each line after you.

Learn: Discover that our five senses are gifts from God. Identify and appreciate the five senses.
Video: Watch the music video, Five Senses Song. Ask your child, how do the senses help you enjoy God's world?
Activity: Tear out and make the God Wants Us to Use Our Senses booklet on pages 38-39 of the Workbook.
Faith Blooms: Talk about how our senses help us to understand and appreciate the world and all of creation.
Action: Go on a Five Senses walk with your child. See trees, flowers, sunset or animals. Smell the flowers or cut grass. Taste fresh fruits or vegatables. Listen for the birds. Touch a tree trunk or a flower petal. Help them explore their surroundings using their five senses.
Prayer: Complete the worksheet on page 40 of the Workbook to create the prayer, Thank God for My Senses. Say the prayer together.
