Prayer and FastingMeditate on the Stations of the Cross for Children either by downloading a reflection or choosing to watch it on a video. Check out 40 ideas for Lent from this Catholic Mom or 25 ideas for kids and teens and pick one or two to do as a family. As the weather changes, plan a pilgrimage to Darien's Shrine of St. Therese. Family Lenten Craft Choose a cross in your home to use for this activity. You may also create a cross with poster board or wood. Use Band Aids to symbolize the wounds of Christ as the wounds we cause to others. On each bandage strip (or masking tape will work) write the name of a person who needs your prayers or someone you have hurt, or write something you are sorry for and place it on the cross. Family Nature WalkChoose a lovely spring day and take a walk together. Look for signs of God's love breaking through in budding plants and sunshine. Talk about how creative God is to design so many different trees, flowers, bushes, cloud shapes and more. Lay on a blanket together and try to see shapes in the clouds.
